Unemployment is officially over!
After thirty-four days, I have a job. I got my dream part time cooking job (not dream real job, the position for official sleep-in-late-eat-ggod-food-and-make-100000-a-year hasn't become available yet) of cooking pizza back, not at Dion's or Venezzia's but at Mario's Pizzeria and Ristorante. Its pretty awesome. I make pizza for about 5 hours a day durring the week and 10 hours a day on the weekends...not ideal hours, but beggars can't be chosers. The best part about it is that i work next to a 70 something Italian imigrant who has been making pizza for upwards of fifty years. Thats a man who knows his pies. Then there's the funny awkward situations when his wife (mama, we call her) comes into the kitchen and starts yelling at Mario in Italian. I don't quite know what any of it means...but it sonuds pretty awesome. If I could chose a language to cuss people out in other than English it would have to be Italian...without a doubt!

A "Long" Time Coming
For anyone who is a fan of New Mexico sports, you probably won't be suprised to hear that Lobo Football head coach Rocky Long has resigned from the University of New Mexico. The eleven year former Lobo, Long said he was disappointed with the fans. Well lets examine this one first.
Rocky has been fighting an uphill battle against the fans from the start, as older fans were used to the style of former coach Dennis Franchoni. Fran was a passing coach; Rocky...well...he didn't do a whole lot of anything. The second problem was that not enough people remembered him from when he played here. What the news has been quick to tell people is that Long is the winningest coach in UNM history. Thats not hard to do as a mediocre coach over the course of eleven years. Long leaves with 62 wins which averages to 5.63 wins per season...not anything to write home about. Additionally, he has accumulated 69 losses, or 6.27 losses per season. I'm not saying its all his fault, however as a fan I do not coach the players; HE DOES.
Kiss the bung hole, Rocky. Kiss the bung.

I can't think of a clever title for this blog...but i hate reality TV.
So, I don't have cable...but my girlfriend does, and at times I'm glad I don't. She was watching this reality show on CMT making new Dallas Cowboys cheerleaders. I am a fan of the Cowboys...and their cheerleaders. It's a love/hate relationship. Now that I have that out of the way, the show is as the spaniards say "el terrible". How stupid are these women? "Lets compete against other crazy women to be a cheerleader, and then when i get kicked off I'll freak the hell out because even though I'm WAY HOT, I'll listen to other women tell me how fat I am." Please. First of all, how mindless has TV gotten? Fuck reality television...I hate it. Second of all, I'm SURE Jerry Jones has got some money invested in this show. If he put HALF of that into strengthening the second string and the coaching staff, the Cowboys would be better than 6-4.
On a completely different thought but equally close to home, there need to be more button fly jeans. The risk of getting caught (and the pain) are WAY lower with button fly jeans. So in this world of endorsements, I endorse my old friend, the button fly. Eff you YKK.

I now realize how shitty the economy and the job market are...or how bad my former employer says I performed. But on the bright side my academic advisor confirmed my suspicions that i will graduate in December! That's right world, the score is World 1, George 10,000! WHATS UP NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Tis the season for attack ads!
Ahh, the leaves be changin, and there is a cool criso to the morning air. Frost is starting to appear on the cars in the neighborhood, and it's almost time for green chile stew. While all of these things are good indicators of the fall and winter months fast on our heels, they are also reminders that it's almost time to cast our votes in the most monumental election of our time. While this excites many and sets fires ablaze in the souls of others, it disgusts me.
Yesterday, in the mail I saw a political ad for my dad from the GOP that was headlined with "Obama suports terrorists!!!", or some crap like that. It was a full page of newspaper quotes and rhetoric linking Obama to William Ayers, former leader of The Weather Underground. The Weather Underground was an extremist, radical left group that in the 60's and 70's bombed the house of a judge, The Pentagon, and The Capitol Building among others. Ayers and the other "wheathermen" became fugitives after a bomb meant for Fort Dix blew up in their appartment killing several members. Ayers and the other leaders were put on the FBI 10 most wanted list. William Ayers later turned himself in, a few years after the Weathermen were taken off the fugitive list, and the charges against him were dropped due to illegal investigating techniques by the FBI.
Ayers came under more scrutiny for comments he made on 9/11/01 when he said that the attack should have been greater, and that he supported the terrorists...dumb ass. That was some effed up shit to be saying that day, or any day for that matter.
The incidents that the Grand Ol Party is refering to are dinners that Obama attended at Ayers' home when Obama was still big in the Chicago political circuit. The GOP is also calling foul on Ayers for not ever appologizing for his actions while the head of The Weather Underground. Where I call foul is that the GOP didn't mention the fact that Ayers is under Homeland Security watch and even if Ayers wanted to try anything again, he is under tight enough control that he couldn't get a bag of fertilizer even if it were for his rose garden.
Two years ago i had the opprotunity to hear a lecture from Mark Rudd, former secretary of Students for a Democratic Society (SDS), this was the organization that begat the Weathermen, and was involved with Ayers at the head of the group. He is the source for most of my info on Ayers, being that Mark himself is under close watch. These men were both considered terrorists, and extremely dangerous people. They are now BOTH out of jail, and they are obviously not dangerous to the community any longer. It's not illegal to meet with convicted fellons, and not even questionable. Ayers may be a crazy man, but come on GOP!!! You didn't even tell what circumstances Obama met him.
I am NOT a political blogger, but tis the saeason for smear campaigns, therefor tis the season for me to URGE you all not to judge books by their covers! Follow this link http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Mark_Rudd&oldid=244587491

Resumes...
...are full of shit! I want to hire myself! The hell of it is that everyone KNOWS that resumes are bull. So the question is when do you stop filling your sheets of paper with platitudes of empowerment, and when does it become just about the truth? However, before I decide to take out all of this flowery speach about how awesome I am at EVERYTRHING (because I really am) there needs to be some kind of conference...like the Geneva Conventions of resumes or something like that. Let's get some damn conformity here, at least an agreement on how much bullshit to put in. It would be nice to know if employers LIKED all my "elevating" language, or if they just want the basic facts. So until then i shall continue my "booshit, booshit , booshit". Time to stop blogging and start finging a job...car payments without a cash flow are difficult to pay.

Much like Vincent Chase in the begining of season 5...
...i don't have a job...and the realization of no money til i get one is sinking in...and it sucks one.
eleven months and no random thoughts...really?
So as i said in Vol. 1, It beats the hell out of me why i started this blog...being that it's been eleven months since i posted last. Seriously though alot happened in that eleven months! Girlfriend, still here and lovin me; criminal charges, dropped; job at albuquerque's premier bowling center/motivation killer/self esteem reducer, gone; school, done in three months or so; firends, getting married. It's been pretty crazy, and in the time period between November 27, 2007 and today...I feel like its time to blog. So thanks for the welcome back, and til next random thought...
